What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound derived from the hemp plant. The hemp plant and the marijuana plant are not the same plant, but they are in the same family. Unlike THC containing marijuana products, hemp CBD does not induce psychoactive feelings. Meaning, you're not going to get high. CBD is considered a supplement and not a medication; as such you should consult your physician before starting CBD especially if you are taking blood thinners to prevent any kind of adverse reaction.
Like other supplements, the FDA hasn't evaluated the benefits of taking CBD. Because CBD is treated by the big guys, ie banks, payment processors, etc., as a marijuana related product I'm not allowed to talk about those benefits but if you do a quick Google search you'll find plenty of reliable blogs describing why CBD can be a great personal care product.
The Bottom Line...CBD is not marijuana and it won't get you high. Talk to your doctor and do your own research too.
